GBSA is offering Saturday Morning Skills & Scrimmage after our Summer baseball season.  There will be 4 Saturday sessions split between learning baseball and playing baseball. The sessions will be 2 hours long and open to all GBSA boys in the Intermediate and Major leagues. We will have serious instructors (former college and minor league players) teaching the young players some skills they will need to progress in the sport, followed by fun, live scrimmaging.

• Skills Portion (led by instructors with college/pro baseball experience)
  • 45 minutes to 1 hour of focused instruction
  • Emphasis on basic fundamentals
  • Example: Week 1 – Infield, Week 2 – Outfield, Week 3 – Baserunning, Week 4 – Pitching & Catching
  • Middle School coaches are excited about this offering and have offered their players for support.

• Scrimmage portion
  • Bring the practiced skills to a game-like setting
  • Emphasis on fun and love of the game, essentially a scheduled pick-up game with friends.

• Timing
  • Session dates are July 20^th, 27^th, August 3^rd, and 10^th from 9-11AM, Pierce Field
  • Post-GBSA Season, with a break for baseball families!
  • Ends before start of school

• Pricing
  • $100 for all 4 sessions
  • This is a great value per hour of baseball instruction!
  • Financial aid available from GBSA if needed

• Baseball players entering 4th - 7th grades are eligible to register.  Players must have played in the 2024 GBSA season to register.  We must receive a minimum number of registrants or will have to cancel the classes.
